How can I learn Spanish with ease and speed?

I live in Canada, so do not have Spanish as a course. I want to learn Spanish easily and quickly. I just need a few key words, need to memorize a few phrases. Should I talk to my friends in Mexico in the sentences I know. what I thought he was using a translator for the majority of instant messaging, and memorizing words and phrases. Can anyone help? What should I do?

What is the best way to learn Spanish in Costa Rica?

im planning on going to Costa Rica to tach English as an ESL teacher for 6 months 1 year. I also really want to learn the Spanish language, to the point of becoming fluent. What is the best way to become fluent in Spanish?

Read the local newspapers. Not books, not pages of opinion, or even most of the magazines, just the news. You will quickly see that Spanish and English have much in common. Get the U of Chicago Spanish-English dictionary, not an electronic translator that idiot is so attractive, but inconvenient to purchase them all, nobody uses them. Avoid contact with speakers of English who is now almost impossible in the CR Take a class in any subject you would like to give in Spanish. You may fail the course, but you will learn a lot of Spanish quickly. There are many private schools teaching everything imaginable, hair cutting, repair automobile, electronics and maintenance of air conditioning. It really does not matter what you take, but try to choose something you like. Avoid taking any classes individuals, all I've seen are rip-offs. see TV again, especially the news. If you drink, have a drink or two that facilitates the inhibition to make an ass of himself publicly, which is necessary for some months as it begins to babble in a foreign language. (I suppose I could have made the more gracefully.) Good luck.
